SHERRI BENNETT - PRESIDENT
Sherri has had over 20 years experience within the TV and Film industry both in Canada and the U.S. She is Ojibwe and is a Band Member of the “Serpent River First Nation” in Cutler ON. In 1990 Sherri embarked upon her first entrepreneurship role with Bennett Model and Talent Agency Inc. This agency included bookings such as “Harlequin Entertainment LTD” which has been used on “Silhouette Intimate Moments” book covers and successfully coordinated the “Amore 95” Hair and Fashion show for the Sick Children Foundation. During this time Sherri took a hiatus to raise her son.
She later joined the team at the Lunch Box Post and Effects Company. She was the Executive Sales and Marketing representative for them where she was responsible for supplying special effects to Hollywood directors for feature films being made within Canada such as ‘The Knock Around Guys’ w/John Malkovich, Dennis Hopper and Vin Diesel and Life’s Little Miracles on The Learning Channel.
With this experience behind her, Sherri began utilizing her entrepreneurship skills once again as a Talent Agent with her extremely successful talent agency Movie Magic. The agency was well known for its successful Commercial Background division and Principal Talent.
Although Sherri’s profile seems to outline her daily schedule as both busy and hectic, she has always found time to volunteer both her time and efforts to different charitable foundations. She worked for the Sick Children’s Foundation where she successfully coordinated and booked the talent for the Amore 95 Hair Show, and the Star Light Star Bright Children’s Foundation where she booked all the talent for the Walk In The Park which took place in the Toronto Beaches at QEW Gardens.
The success of Movie Magic Talent Agency was primarily due to the exceptional skill sets that Sherri Bennett contains regarding her business management skills as well as booking members for commercial background work and Principal Talent. In addition, with Sherri’s incredible sales skills and strategic business tactics she was not only able to expand the company’s roster members but also aid in selected individual’s career development and the expansion of their personal skill sets. With these talents, Sherri has represented some of the finest talent in the industry.
